On the 16th of December, 2022, marking the 51st anniversary of the Great Victory Day, Z.M Nursing College in Faridpur hosted a memorable event filled with color and reverence. The day's activities commenced with a rally that set off from the college premises. This rally, vibrant and spirited, made its way through the heart of the city. The participants, carrying wreaths, stopped at various memorials throughout the city, paying homage to the valiant freedom fighters of the great liberation war. This act of remembrance and respect was a central feature of the day's events. The rally was graced by several dignitaries and key figures. Prominent among them was Mr. Abul Kalam Sheikh, the founder and respected chairman of the Z.M Nursing College & Bir Muktijuddha S.A Salam Nursing Institute. He was joined by Principal Sandhya Mandal, a leading figure in the institution. Alongside them, the rally saw active participation from the college's teachers, administrative staff, and a large contingent of enthusiastic students, all united in commemorating this historic day. After completing the city-wide circuit and laying wreaths at the memorials, the rally made its way back to the college premises. The day's events continued with a discussion program, an integral part of the commemoration. This program offered a platform for reflection and dialogue. The Honorable Chairman Mr. Abul Kalam Sheikh and Principal Sandhya Mandal were prominent speakers, sharing insights and leading the discussions. They were joined by the college's faculty and staff, contributing their perspectives. The students, representing the future generation, also actively participated in this discussion, making it a holistic and inclusive event. The discussion program facilitated a deeper understanding of the significance of the Great Victory Day, with conversations revolving around the historical context, the sacrifices made by freedom fighters, and the ongoing importance of remembering and honoring these heroes. The event, both the rally and the discussion, served as a poignant reminder of the struggles and triumphs of the past, while also inspiring the current and future generations to uphold the values of freedom and resilience.
