International Nurses Day2026 🌻 It was celebrated with great honor, enthusiasm, and inspiration at ZM Nursing College and Bir Muktijuddha S.A. Salam Nursing College on 12 May. The joint celebration brought together students, teachers, governing body members, and guests from both institutions, creating a memorable and inspiring atmosphere dedicated to the nursing profession. The program was presided over by the honorable Chairman Sir, Md. Abul Kamal Sheikh. Respected MD Madam, Kamrun Nahar, attended the event as a special guest along with honorable members of the governing body, respected teachers, and students from both colleges. Their valuable presence made the celebration more meaningful and successful. At the beginning of the program, deep respect and tribute were paid to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, whose ethics, dedication, discipline, and selfless service continue to inspire nurses all over the world. Honorable Chairman Sir spoke about the progress of nursing, highlighting the continuous development of the profession through modern education, clinical skills, and advanced healthcare systems. He encouraged students to prepare themselves as skilled, responsible, and compassionate nurses for the future. Respected MD Madam discussed the importance of food and nutrition in nursing care, explaining that proper nutrition plays a vital role in patient recovery and overall healthcare management. Honorable Principal Madam Shandya Mondol shared valuable words about the history and contribution of Florence Nightingale, explaining how her courage, humanity, and dedication transformed nursing into a respected profession. On the other hand, Honorable Principal Madam Rakhi Nandi spoke about the importance of clinical practice in nursing education. She emphasized that strong clinical training is essential for developing practical skills, confidence, and professionalism among nursing students. Special guest Ashok Chandro Singho Sir delivered an inspiring speech on the ideals and ethics of Florence Nightingale, focusing on her honesty, discipline, compassion, and lifelong dedication to humanity. The program concluded with appreciation for the nursing profession and a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of service and humanity.
