International Midwives Day 2023
Since its establishment in 1992, International Midwives' Day has been celebrated on the 5th of May every year. This significant day serves as a momentous occasion to express gratitude and appreciation for the invaluable work of midwives, as well as to raise awareness about their pivotal role in providing essential care and support to mothers and their newborns. Moreover, it presents an opportunity for us to acknowledge and applaud their tireless efforts in contributing to the betterment of our world through their compassionate and skilled service. To commemorate this special day, Z.M Nursing College in Faridpur took the initiative to organize a range of meaningful activities. The celebrations commenced with a vibrant and spirited rally, symbolizing unity and solidarity in honoring midwives' exceptional contributions. The rally served as a visual representation of the collective appreciation and support extended to these dedicated healthcare professionals. Subsequently, a thought-provoking discussion meeting was held, providing a platform for individuals to reflect on the significance of midwives' work and the impact they have on maternal and newborn healthcare. The honorable Chairman of Z.M Nursing College, Mr. Abul Kalam Sheikh, graced the occasion with his presence and delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of midwifery and expressing gratitude for the contributions of midwives.
