Diploma Programs
(Course Duration: 3 years)
Qualification of Applicant :
- The applicant must be permanent citizenship of Bangladesh.
- Admission seats for the Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery courses will be reserved for students at designated institutions approved by the government, with a ratio of 2:8 (Male:Female) respectively. Example:If the total number of seats is 50, then there will be 10 seats reserved for males and 40 seats reserved for females.
- The academic year in which the candidate intends to participate in the admission test for the Diploma in Nursing program and subsequent years, they must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination and the HSC or equivalent examination in the same year. Additionally, the candidate must have passed the SSC examination between the two preceding consecutive English years.
- Only women are eligible to apply for the Diploma in Midwifery course.
- Candidates must apply within three years after passing the HSC examination, with continuous enrollment from the SSC examination.
- The applicants must have successfully completed SSC/HSC or equivalent course examinations from any discipline and any educational board recognized by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Bangladesh.
- GPA determination:
- SSC and HSC in any section(Science/Arts/Commarce) or two equivalent examinations with a total GPA of 6.00, but GPA should not be less than 2.50 in any exam.
Entry Qualification :
- Candidates must have passed the aptitude test of BNMC.
- Initially selected candidates will be considered eligible for admission if they pass the health examination under the management of the institution authorities.
- The minimum age for admission will be 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission test is held.
- Marks conversion from General Certificate of Education (GCE) - "O" level and "A" level will be decided by the central admission committee.
- Medical (physical & mental) fitness will be essential before admission.
Admission Test :
- 20 marks as 4 multiplier of GPA obtained in SSC or equivalent examination , 30 marks as 6 multiplier of GPA obtained in HSC or equivalent examination as total 50 marks. And there is also a 100 marks written Exam.
- MCQ question will be provided for written exam with following distribution : Bangla- 20, English- 20, Math- 10, General Science- 25 and General knowledge- 25. Pass number 40 (forty) will be fixed.
- Unsuccessful candidates will not get the opportunity to get admission in any college/institution.

BSc Programs
(Course Duration: 4 years)
Qualification of Applicant:
- The applicant must hold permanent citizenship of Bangladesh.
- Admission seats for the Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery courses will be reserved for students at designated institutions approved by the government, with a ratio of 2:8 (Male:Female) respectively. Example: If total seat is 50. Then Male and Female seat will be 10 and 40.
- The academic year for which the candidate will participate in the admission test for the BSc Nurisng and thereafter, Must have passed SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examination in the year and must have passed SSC between the previous two consecutive English years.
- The applicants must have passed SSC/HSC or equvalent course examinations from any discipline & even from any educational Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Bangladesh.
- GPA determination :
- For admission eligibility, candidates must have completed SSC and HSC in Science or equivalent examinations with a combined GPA of 7.00. However, the GPA in any single examination should not be lower than 3.00, and specifically, the GPA in Biology must be 3.0 in both examinations.
- Biology is compulsory in “A” level for BSc Nursing. In this case average GPA of the five subjects with the highest grade will be added with the average GPA of additional subjects after duducted 2 from it and CGPA will be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in both examinations.

- Medical fitness, both physical and mental, is a prerequisite for admission.

Post Basic Programs
(Course Duration: 2 years)
Eligibility Criteria for Admission:
- Must be registered by Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- The applicants must have passed either Diploma in nursing and Diploma in Midwifery /Orthopedic Nursing/Psychiatric nursing or Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery.
- The applicants (Government) must have minimum 2 years working experiences as Registered nurse /Registered nurse midwife.
- Nursing Registration of the applicant must have updated by Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- The applicant must have passed the admission test both Public and Private.
- Successful candidates must perform medical fitness checkup before admission.
- All candidates must submit application through proper channel.
