We all known that Bangladesh is blessed with innumerable talented young folks who are trying to change the future of the nation with their intellect and enthusiasm. Nursing could easily be one of the prosperous professions. But regrettably enrollment rate in nursing education is not satisfactory in our country. Reasons are low capacity of enrollment in the existing nursing institutions in Bangladesh and the long cherished stigma that the profession encounters without any reason. In our country, there is an acute shortage of nurses both in public and private health care sectors. This is probably the only profession where worldwide shortage has been continuing for decades. In U.S.A, U.K and Canada, shortage of qualified nurses has turned so heightened that researchers are foreseeing disastrous consequences in their health services. The aforesaid countries meanwhile have taken some measures that can enhance enrollment in nursing education to a desired level. Z M Nursing College has studied the whole reality with great attention and it was found that there are immense demand of potentials or this profession both home and abroad. I firmly believe that the prospective students of this college will attain a useful and rewarding degree that shall offer them a signified life. Around the world, nurses have been traditionally females. Though in this modern world there should be mo gender discrimination, nursing is still continuing to be a female dominated profession. No doubt, during a period of anxiety and agony a softer hand is the preferred hand. I am a great believer of woman’s strength and their role in building a strong nation. Z.M. Nursing college has healthy, harmonious, amiable ambience and plays a cascading role with diligence, devotion, dedication to bring forth the upliftment of students and relentlessly strives hard to maintain academic excellence and professional standards.
