International Midwives Day celebrates the indispensable role midwives play in ensuring safe childbirth and promoting maternal and newborn health worldwide. On this occasion, Z.M Nursing College orchestrated a powerful rally, symbolizing unity and advocacy for the crucial work of midwives. The streets reverberated with chants and banners, echoing the call for increased recognition and support for midwifery. Following the spirited rally, a thoughtful discussion program unfolded, bringing together esteemed figures in the healthcare community. MD. Abul Kalam Sheikh, the Chairman, graced the event with his presence, underscoring the significance of the day and the commitment to maternal healthcare. Principal Sardar Mohammad Hannan of Faridpur Community Paramedics shared insights garnered from years of dedication to healthcare, emphasizing the pivotal role of midwives in communities. Shonda Mondol, Principal of Z.M Nursing College, delivered an impassioned speech, highlighting the dedication and compassion inherent in the work of midwives.
